For yet another season, it was the curbside – not the catwalk – which delivered the strongest indicator of what our wardrobes will consist of in the coming months. Wearable inspiration came thick and fast on the menswear show circuit, particularly from this steezy fella, who produced our favourite look from the style-packed month. Here’s how you can recreate it this summer.
The look:
London Fashion Week Men’s was the stage for this stylish show-goer, as he gave us a performance of printed perfection. The key, in this case, was to space out his patchwork checked shirt and patterned slip-on Vans by surrounding them with simpler staples. That didn’t dampen the boldness, however – in fact, the addition of a Carhartt bucket hat and cross-body bag only added to his outfit’s festival feel.
How to do it:
Dealing with a range of printed pieces can be a difficult task but, luckily for you, we’ve made it a breeze. Firstly, set a monochrome base via a simple grey Carhartt T-shirt, a pair of slim black Dickies and some white socks to allow the statement stuff to shine. Then, wear an oversized patchwork shirt over your tee and sling on a flight bag to cut across the mismatched print. Checkerboard plimsolls from Vans continue the freshness on foot, but keep things clean up top by popping on a minimal, black bucket hat to finish.
