Kanye West is ostensibly being sued by Istanbul-based firm Dde Sourcing over the production of his YEEZY Season 2, 3, and 4 collections, as per The Fashion Law. Owner of the firm Derya Gulseven claims that Ye’s West Brands Fashion LLC imprint has yet to pay up approximately $228,000 USD for hiring Dde to seek out manufacturers in the Turkish capital to provide textiles for the aforesaid collections and distribute them stateside.
More precisely, the TFL stated that Gulseven was eliminated from the YEEZY Season 2 agreement “just months before the scheduled delivery date.” Having added that “Gulseven was allegedly robbed of her 7 percent commission – or $87,000 USD – on the $1.25 million USD order [for YEEZY Season 2].” Not to mention, her commission rate for YEEZY Season 3 was initially 7 percent while West Brands presumably only gave her 4 percent commission, offering “her a check for only $77,246 USD ‘with no explanation’ as to the reduced commission rate,” TFL added.
Head over to The Fashion Law for more details on the lawsuit and let us know your thoughts.
