Jon Buscemi and Paul James’ Uncle Paulie’s Deli outpost follows up its themed T-shirt designs created alongside Standard Issue Teesby linking up with artist Dan Mcgee to fashion a capsule for Union Tokyo’s recent launch. Masterful in the fine art of embroidery, Mcgee has created pieces for the likes of Carhartt WIP, New Era, Markelle Fultz, Harold Hunter, not to mention Versace’s Salehe Bembury and thought to construct a batch of denim Trucker jackets for this specific project.
Immediately struck by the specialty sandwich shop’s logo, Mcgee obsessed about placing the simplistic emblem onto some statement denim, and the rest is as they say — history.
When asked to comment on the venture, Mcgee had this to say:
This was one of those projects that started with an infatuation with the simplicity of the logo, me obsessing over the idea of putting it on a denim jacket and eventually making them for those guys and now making them to be sold at Union. The first batch was simple: logo on left chest and logo on back. The same jackets are what is now being offered at Union but I stepped it up with the leather McGee’s x UP patches, the pins, the hang tags, etc.. “
Dan Mcgee x Uncle Paulie’s Deli Denim Jackets are now up for grabs at Union Tokyo. Meanwhile, in other fashion news, ASSC & Avi Gold tease collaborative designs to celebrate the launch of CdG.
